Attendees are also able to compete in an organized cornhole tournament, hosted by Keystone Cornhole ACL, where The 2023 Cornhole Classic champions will receive a $250.00 cash prize. Online registration to participate, whether as an individual ($20.00/per person) or team ($40.00/two players), is open and will close on Friday, August 18th at 11:59 p.m. Day-of registration will remain available to interested players until 3:00 p.m. All registration fees are non-refundable.

“During our 100th year of service, we will reflect on our past successes and continue to strengthen our foundation to ensure another 100 years of service. I can’t think of a better way to kick off our centennial year than with a fun family & friend event!” stated Hannah Funk, President of the Junior League of Lancaster, PA.

While there is no entrance fee, individuals and families are encouraged to contribute a $5.00 donation to the JLL, which will be considered a gift to maintain adequate funding for the League’s extensive range of community service programs and projects, including our nutrition insecurity focus area.

“The 1st Annual Cornhole Classic was an absolute blast! Seeing families and friends come together to support our cause was so heartwarming and inspiring. We can’t wait to make this year’s event even bigger and better!” remarked Special Events Committee Co-Chairs Annie Hartley and Monica Douville.

The JLL would like to pay special tribute to its “Boss of the Toss” Level Sponsor, Red Rose Hearing Center, for their generous fiscal support.

ABOUT THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LANCASTER

Established in 1923, the Junior League of Lancaster is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Junior League members scan the needs of our community, conduct issue-based research and identify areas where we can be most impactful in our local ecosystem. As of June 2022, our current initiative is Nutrition Insecurity, a newly adopted Issue-Based Community Impact (IBCI) focus area, to combat the lack of access to healthy and nutrient-rich food and improve nutrition knowledge and dietary habits across all populations in Lancaster County. For a century, we have identified the needs of our area and have rallied to provide meaningful and lasting improvements. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
