Junior League of Lancaster Accepting New Members in January

LANCASTER, PA (July 14, 2015) – The Junior League of Lancaster, PA Inc. (JLL), an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers is seeking new members in January 2015.  The JLL is looking for women who are enthusiastic, energetic and interested in being more involved in the Lancaster community and making lifelong friendships.

The Junior League of Lancaster has been involved in initiating and/or supporting a number of local projects and organizations such as the restoration of Wheatland and Rockford Plantation, Hands Are Not For Hitting, Habitat for Humanity Women Build and Kids in the Kitchen.  Most recently, we’ve taken on the creation of the Lydia Hamilton Smith Society.  In addition, we recently made the decision to focus our efforts solely on Girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and Children Aging out of Foster Care.  In our 91st year, the Junior League of Lancaster has a strong presence in the Lancaster community with over 300 current members, 100 whom are active members.
