JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LANCASTER SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR 2022 COMMUNITY GRANT PROGRAM

The Junior League of Lancaster, PA, Inc. (JLL) is excited to announce that we are accepting applications for our 2022 Community Grant Program. This program seeks to further the League’s current initiative, increasing educational and career opportunities in STEM for girls and other youth who have been historically underrepresented in these fields.

This year, the JLL will make grants of $1,250 to Lancaster County STEM non-profits for the purpose of hiring McCaskey High School students to paid summer internships with their organizations. The grants will go towards the salary or stipend that the student receives for their work.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Must be a Lancaster County STEM non-profit organization or non-profit that promotes STEM-based programming.
  • Must hire a McCaskey High school student to a paid STEM internship during the summer of 2022.
  • Considerations: Ability of the organization to hire, adequately supervise and provide a productive summer internship experience for a high school student, already existing connections with the School District of Lancaster, financial stability, past record of achieving goals, leadership.

Grant applications will be accepted beginning December 1, 2021.

All application materials must be received by April 1, 2022.

Grants will be awarded by April 30, 2022.
