Spring 2023 Provisional Member Orientation Training Session #1

Location: Junior League Headquarters - the Carriage House behind Wheatland (1130 Marietta Avenue/Lancaster, PA 17603)/Time: 1:00-5:00 p.m.

How do you kickoff a fulfilling Junior League career? By learning the important fundamentals about the League during your first formal Orientation session on Sunday, February 26th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at JLL Headquarters (1130 Marietta Avenue/Lancaster, PA 17603)! All provisional members should plan to properly report to the League Rooms, which is located in the Carriage House behind the grounds of Wheatland. On-site parking is available.

During the course of this educational and interactive four-hour training program, we’ll plan to cover all of the essential, need-t0-know information you require to successfully embark on the beginning of your League journey as a member of the Spring 2023 Provisional Class. From a detailed overview about the organization itself to protocol and policies to an FAQ session, topics that will be addressed in the agenda include, but are not limited to:

  • Its rich history
  • Its mission statement, vision, and values
  • Its hierarchical structure
  • Its core operations
  • Its philanthropic roots and current endeavors

In addition to the training portion of the program, you’ll be treated to an array of social introductions, as there will be opportunities to meet and speak with ladies representing the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. Light refreshments and lunch will also be provided.

Interested applicants who still wish to join the Spring 2023 Provisional New Member Class should complete a New Member Application Form prior to the commencement of Orientation. The form can be completed by clicking here. Applications will be accepted until Saturday, February 25th.

To properly onboard provisional members, the Junior League of Lancaster requires that all provisional members attend both planned Orientation sessions (Sunday, February 26th and Wednesday, March 1st). If you’re unable to attend the second session, which will be conducted via Zoom on Wednesday, March 1st, please contact Kelly Gehman, Membership Development VP, at membership@jllancaster.org to make alternative arrangements.
