Run4Luck 2022

LANCASTER, PA (February 23, 2022) – Jumpstart your St. Patrick’s Day plans and celebrate the return of the running season with the Junior League of Lancaster (JLL) during its 17th Annual Run4Luck on Saturday, March 12th at 9:00 a.m. In response to the escalating health and safety concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic, this signature event will return in-person at Lancaster Country Day School (725 Hamilton Road/Lancaster, PA 17603) while offering an alternative virtual option for walkers and runners of all ages.

To register for any of the race formats or options–which includes a 4-mile run, 2-mile walk, and kids’ fun run–interested participants should visit https://runsignup.com/run4luck2022. The registration periods and subsequent pricing breakdown is listed below:

  • Online early bird registration is now open to the public and will conclude on Saturday, February 26th. The cost for individual runners and walkers is $25 and $22 for those participating in a team of five or more individuals. Team registration is unavailable after Saturday, February 26th. Early registration guarantees a long sleeve performance shirt, as well as a race day swag bag
  • Late registration will commence on Sunday, February 27th and close on Friday, March 11th at 11:59 p.m. For those who sign up during the late period, the cost increases to $35 for individual runners and walkers. A long sleeve performance shirt is not guaranteed for late registrants; limited quantities will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Registration for the kids’ fun run remains a fixed $10 fee per child until Friday, March 11th.

“I love that the Run4Luck is a great race for both serious runners who want the timed results, and the more casual people like walkers and families with kids, strollers, and dogs. Everyone is welcome, with all ages and abilities,” stated Anna Brendle Kennedy, President of the Junior League of Lancaster, PA. “By offering a hybrid option this year, we’re also greatly looking forward to the virtual participation of individuals and families from wherever they’re located who are able to offer their support to the League at a distance.”

Virtual participants are required to complete the 4-mile run, 2-mile walk, and kids’ fun run on race day by 11:59 p.m. When complete, the time should be recorded and posted to the Run4Luck Run Sign Up page.  The JLL encourages all in-person and virtual runners and walkers to dress up in their best St. Patrick’s Day costumes or themed gear, and share pictures via the JLL Facebook page or email (run4luck@jllancaster.org).

Drive-through bag and shirt pick-ups will be held at Lancaster Country Day School on Friday, March 11th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 12th from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at the registration tent.

Following the conclusion of the race, and after all of the times are submitted, winners will be contacted and announced via the JLL Facebook page on Saturday, March 19th. This year’s prizes include gift cards to Inside Track and Annie Bailey’s Irish Public House. All registrants will also be automatically entered into a raffle for a chance to win 2 tickets to The Fulton Theatre and a prize basket from Go N’ Bananas Family Fun Center.
