But behind the façade is the painful truth that Allison is addicted to prescription pain pills, using them to handle the stresses of her everyday life: her marriage is failing; her daughter is acting out; and her father’s Alzheimer’s disease is getting worse by the day. Allison tells herself that the pills help her make it through her days, but her ever-increasing drug use turns into her biggest problem of all. All Fall Down is the story of a woman’s slide into addiction and her struggle to find her way back up again. Jennifer Weiner’s latest work been called “A searing, no-holds-barred look at an ordinary woman whose life spirals out of control” and “An absolutely heartbreaking read that will leave readers haunted.”
