LANCASTER, PA (August 1, 2014) – The Junior League of Lancaster, Inc. (JLL) is pleased to announce the 2014-2015 President, Amy Hartz, and the Executive Board. Ms. Hartz has been a member of the JLL since 2005. During that time she has held several leadership positions, including Run4Luck Finance Coordinator and Co-Chair, Website Coordinator, Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer.

The JLL is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. For the 2014-2015 year, the JLL will continue to work on projects and initiatives that focus on childhood education.

In anticipation of beginning her leadership role Amy shared the following comments: “I am excited and honored to be given this wonderful opportunity to lead the JLL. The Junior League is such a wonderful organization in so many ways. We are giving women the tools to create change and become leaders in our community, all while volunteering our skills in worthwhile community projects.”

The JLL also hosts various fundraisers which enable the group to support its community projects and programs. On Friday, November 14, 2014, the Junior League will host Jennifer Weiner, New York Times #1 bestselling author of Good in Bed, In Her Shoes and most recently All Fall Down, at its annual Author’s Luncheon.
